Ubuntu Software Repository

The Ubuntu Software Repository is split into four sets each of which have four components

Howto access ALL components (including non-free)

The Universe and Multiverse components are NOT enabled by default so you need to
run synaptic and enable every component for each set

Run synaptic

Click Settings | Repositories | Add

and for each of

• Ubuntu 6.06 LTS (dapper)
• Ubuntu 6.06 LTS Updates (dapper-updates)
• Ubuntu 6.06 LTS Backports (dapper-backports)
• Ubuntu 6.06 LTS Security (dapper-security)

check

• official
• restricted
• community (universe)
• non-free (multiverse)

click apply

Finally click reload you should now have access to all packages
